Nation wide, the estimate is for a 10.5% year-over-year increase, meaning that we are expected to see a 3rd straight year of stong price gains.
There is a pent up demand for buyers and a chronic lack of supply of homes. Couple that with an increase to immigration, and there will be a continued demand for homes to buy.
Specific to Ottawa, it is expected that we will see the median price increase for single-family detached homes by 9%, while the median price of a condominium is forecast to increase by 6%.
